🍴 Since Eloise started solids, I’ve shared how stressful I’ve found it needing to have food prepared for her all the time. I personally find this ironic seeing as, as a coeliac, I always have snacks for myself but her food is still a bit different to mine.
This “food bottle” is a game changer. Today I made a smoothie for myself, poured the extra into her Subo, popped it in the fridge until we were leaving and then I had a high-protein high-fat snack for her for when we were at the playground. The base of the Subo pushes up as they suck so there’s nothing left behind 👏
Lobster Shack Tasmania is a non-negotiable if you’re on the east coast of Tasmania 🤩 Half a freaking lobster, garlic butter sauce. salad and coeliac-safe chips… HEAVEN 🦞 Let’s just say, we ate here more than once! Had to try the local Willie Smith's Cider Makers too, of course 🍺
They also do an abundance of gluten free and coeliac safe fish and chips in a dedicated gluten free fryer. It’s also perched on the coastline with a beautiful outlook of seals on the rocks 🦭😍
This was my absolute favourite place to eat for gluten free in Bicheno. We are there quite a few times 😝
Ivy when are we trying for Tassie again?
Awwww you’re sooooo mean…😂looks absolutely mouth watering. I’ll stick my head in the door when I do that circumnavigate of Tassie 🦞
Agreed delicious and a must
If you make it back to Hobart, try Straight Up Gluten Free on Liverpool street and (my personal favourite) Manning Reef Fish & Chips in Sandy Bay. Thanks for sharing all the places!
Uber eats might be a bit far, I live in Qld. Very jealous.

Agree 💯 we ate delicious gf fish & chips there yesterday! Son had an ice cream afterwards. He was in heaven 🙌
Dawn Holland you have to go here! We did and it was like walking into heaven ❤️
We loved the Lobster Shack Tasmania! We managed to get here earlier in the year before covid and it was delicious! We would definitely go back on our next trip to Tassie! This is exactly what I had for lunch too!
Brody Thompson let's go to tassie
Livia Ashworth gosh I wish this place was closer to your place! We’d be going...
Michael Stevens next time
Joy Jenkins can we go back just i can eat here lol
Rupert & Hound was recommended by pretty much everyone and I can see why! Not only do they do gluten free beer battered fish and chips 😱, they’re also incredibly accommodating with the whole menu! We had the R&H squid, marinated octopus and buttered greens. Oh, and sooo many oysters 🤩 I’ve never had oysters I really loved until Tassie. Truly the best 🌊
It’s hard to explain just how happy I am right now 😭 After a tough 18 months of birthing at the start of a pandemic, so many unknowns, my family still not having met my daughter and an extremely difficult month personally, I feel so incredibly grateful and fortunate that we’re able to be on holiday enjoying my favourite things… family, cheese platters and wine 🙌😍
This was at the absolutely stunning Josef Chromy Wines 🍷 The weather came through and this platter was INSANE 🤩 I’ll create a Tassie highlight on Instagram so you can go back and see where we ate for your future Tassie trip and will share everyone’s incredible recommendations for all the different locations. In the meantime, stay tuned to stories for the 4-11! Hoping that everyone can recreate this incredible trip when travel fully returns 🙏
Plane and travel snacks galore - what to choose?? 😂
We’ve got a couple yoghurts for Eloise, the apple muffins I made yesterday, zucchini slice, boiled eggs, steamed broccoli, KOJA snack bar, Fodbods mint choc bar, Loco Love treat for mum only, Gin-gins and my fave Nerada Tea 👏 In addition to an abundance of crackers and things for Eloise haha Think we’ll go hungry?? 🙃
Okay, now please wish us luck for our first flight with Eloise 🙏😅✈️
